Amazing Spiderman 129 / Green Lantern 40

Nice bright and glossy copy.  Lots of dings, dents and many creases along the spine area.  Back cover very dirty with creases and dings.  Great candidate for my services.

Green Lantern 40 with rolled spine, dirty back cover.  Note cleanliness, spine roll removal and flat spine.

Silver Keys Cleaning/Pressing - HULK 181
Wish I were at San Diego Comic Con this weekend but I'm home working on some great key Silver Age books.  X-Men, Avengers, Spidermans, Tales of Suspense, Tales To Astonish, Hulk...the list grows each week.  Thank you for the boost in business.  I enjoy bringing them back to their original lustre and glory.

DominiCreations

April is Autism Awareness Month.

I would like to salute my son Dominic on his first solo art show in our hometown of Watertown, MA at the town library to commemorate autism awareness.  His reception on the 6th was a great success.  He is only 16 and so talented and bright.  We are all proud of him.  His artwork is colorful, precise and very detailed...hmmm...where does he get that from?  If you are in the MA area and near Boston, come west about 3 miles and see the show.  You can go to his website at www.DominiCreations.com to view all of his work.  Website is also on links page.

Incredible Hulk #1
This book came to me partially restored, amateur at best.  You can see the from the before pictures of the interior cover the loose paper strips that tried to reinforce the spine.  There were other tear seals and clumps of rice paper and color touch along the spine, margins and corners.  All previous attempts at restoration were first removed and then I was left with detached front and back covers.  Spine rebuilding was necessary as well as margin rebuilding at the bottom of the covers.  This is very detailed and meticulous work so that the curve of the spine is absolutely perfect and round.  Color touch necessary along spine inside and outside of cover and along tear seals and fills of margins.  Interior pages (off-white and supple) pressed flat and restored cover re-assembled with 1960 archive staples (since the book came with cheap, commercial staples) and pressed intact.  Ready for Stan Lee!
